Welcome to my new blog!
Thank you for stopping by! I am thrilled to share with you my fiction debut novel “Loving Beth,” the first book in my new Christian Historical Romance series, “Daughters of Appalachia.” Set in post-Civil War West Virginia, the story follows Beth McCullough’s struggle to save her family farm and navigate new love amidst trials and tribulations.
Up until now my published works have been nonfiction/memoirs recounting life in the Alaskan wilderness, where my husband and I lived for fifteen years. We now reside in West Virginia on my husband’s mother’s old homeplace. Our homestead is nestled within the serene foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. Together we cleared the land (that had not been lived on for many years) and built our home reminiscent of the cabins we had built in Alaska. We still live a back to basic lifestyle raising gardens and a plethora of livestock and barnyard animals.
Drawing from my husband’s old familial tales from the region and our shared experiences living a self-sufficient lifestyle, I felt inspired to create a series that pays tribute to the rich Appalachian tales of struggles, strength, and faith-driven love. ‘Loving Beth’ is the first step in this journey.
My books are meant to inspire, entertain, teach a little history and skill sets along the way, and last but certainly not least, of the abundant Love and Graciousness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I hope you take a few moments to look around my site and enjoy what you see. I will share upcoming promotions and releases here. So be sure to stop back in and visit anytime. Many blessing to all of you!
